New Ulm Police

• Took a skip scanning report involving a 59-year-old Lafayette woman at 6:18 p.m. Friday at Walmart. The woman didn’t scan $115.57 worth of items between November 2024 and February 2025. A theft citation was mailed to the woman.

• Received a call about an intoxicated 51-year-old New Ulm man on the sidewalk on South Minnesota Street, several doors south of Center Street at 10:15 p.m. Friday. Police tried to locate someone to care for him but were unsuccessful. He was transported to the Brown County Evaluation Center. A report went to the Department of Motor Vehicles for a driver’s license restriction violation.

• Stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation at Broadway and 20th St. N. at 9:26 p.m. Sunday. The driver, a 17-year-old New Ulm male was cited for marijuana possession. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
