New Ulm Police
• Officers responded to a report of physical domestic Sunday. Officers spoke with a 27-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of New Ulm. Officers noticed red marks on the woman’s shoulders as well as scratch marks on her bicep and elbow area. The woman injuries were caused by the male shoving her against a wall. The male said he was “bear hugged” by the female. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. The woman did not seek medial attention. The man was cited for domestic assault. Reports went to the New Ulm City Attorney, Brown County Probation and Committee Against Domestic Abuse (CADA).
• Officers responded to a report of a physical domestic Sunday afternoon and spoke with a 61-year-old male, a 56-year-old female, and a 17-year-old boy. It was learned the physical altercation was between all three of them. The 61-year-old man said he was grabbed in the neck by the other two. Visible injuries were noticed on the 61-year-old male. The 56-year-old female had an injury to her finger. The 17-year-old boy said the altercation was between he and the 61-year-old male. The female involvement was attempting to break up the fight. The 61-year-old male was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center before being transported to the Brown County Jail. The 61-year-old male was cited for domestic assault. No other parties sought medical attention. Reports went to the New Ulm City Attorney, Brown County Probation and CADA.
• Officers responded to a report of unwanted individual at a residence at 2:56 a.m. Sunday. As Officers were transporting the 17-year-old New Ulm boy away from the residence, an item fell out of his pocket. He was cited for underage possession of cannabis. Reports went to the the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Brown County Probation.
• Officers observed a vehicle displaying poor driving conduct near Minnesota St. and 18th St. South at 12:26 a.m. Saturday. Signs of impairment were detected from 41-year-old female driver from New Ulm. She was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail before being transported to detox. Reports went to the New Ulm City Attorney for Refusal to Test and Brown County Probation.
• Police talked with an 80-year-old New Ulm man who said his wife’s blue handicapped placard was stolen from the rear view mirror of their vehicle. The man provided the permit number which was entered into NCIC as stolen. Report was done for documentation.
• Received a report of a 14-year-old male Riverbend Area Learning Center student with a marijuana vaping device at 8:10 a.m. Monday. The youth was cited for marijuana vaping device possession on school property. Reports were sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and Brown County Probation.
• Received a report of a vending machine damaged sometime Friday night at BJ Laundromat at 9:19 a.m. Monday. A damage estimate was not available. Surveillance footage will be reviewed. A report was done for documentation.
