New Ulm Police

• Responded to a report at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday of a suicidal 40-year-old New Ulm female who had a knife and suicidal thoughts. Officers located the women in Wal-Mart and had her exit the store. The women was calm, said she was doing much better and did not seek medical attention. Officers provided her available resources in the area. Reports went to the Committee Against Domestic Abuse and Brown County Human Services.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at North Highland Ave. and Westridge Road at 11:12 a.m. Tuesday. A 2013 Ford Explorer was driven east on Westridge Road by Joyce Marie Mickelson, 75, Sleepy Eye, stopped at a stop sigh, proceeded into the intersection without yielding and collided with the side of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven southbound by Ian Michael McFarland, 36, New Ulm. Damage was moderate, disabling to the front end of the Ford and to the passenger side doors of the Chevrolet. Both drivers wore seat belts and were not injured.

• A New Ulm High School School Resource Officer cited a 16-year-old male student for THC vape possession on school property at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday.

• Arrested a 59-year-old New Ulm man on a Brown County warrant for a driving after suspension citation on 6th St. North at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday. The man posted bail and was released from the Brown County Jail.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Arrested a Sleepy Eye man for domestic assault on 2nd Ave. N.W. at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday. A female victim had bruises. She received medical attention from Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service and was released at the scene. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
