New Ulm Police
• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 8:24 p.m. Thursday at Broadway and 6th Street N. The driver, a 61-year-old New Ulm man showed impairment signs and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested for DWI, transported to the Brown County Jail and cited for fourth-degree DWI. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
• Assisted an ambulance call for a suicidal 36-year-old male at the Colonial Inn, Broadway and 14th St. N. at 9:07 p.m. Thursday. The man tried to run in front of Broadway traffic when police arrived. He was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center. A report was done for documentation.
• Responded to a physical domestic report at New Ulm Mobile Village at 5:25 a.m. Friday. Police learned a 38-year-old New Ulm man assaulted a 41-year-old woman and her daughter, a 20-year-old female. Police noticed facial injuries on both females. The man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. It was determined the man was intoxicated and he was transported to detox. The woman did not seek medical attention. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for domestic assault charge consideration.
