New Ulm Police
• Responded to a report of a 59-year-old New Ulm woman causing a disturbance at Subway on South Broadway at 11:51 a.m. Friday. The woman was frustrated that her gift cards did not work and got upset with employees. She caused an earlier disturbance at Subway in Springfield, police said. The store issued a trespass letter to the woman from area Subways. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a vehicle for a hands-free cell phone violation at 7:15 p.m. Thursday. Impairment signs were detected on the driver, a 40-year-old New Ulm man. He was arrested for DWI and transported to detox. A report went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for consideration of third-degree DWI.
