Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of State Highway 4 and Watonwan County Road 8, Ormsby. A 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Wyatt Bryan Wentland, 21, Trimont, was northbound on Highway 4 when it collided with an eastbound 2020 Ford Trans Connect driven by Scott Thomas Paukner, 58, Slayton. Paukner was transported to St. James Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office, St. James Ambulance and Ormsby Fire/First Responders assisted. Alcohol was not involved.

New Ulm Police

• Arrested and transported a 33-year-old Mankato man from detox to the Brown County Jail on a Minnesota Department of Corrections warrant at 5 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries or damage reported.

• Received a scam/fraud report from a 64-year-old New Uim woman who said she lost $4,500 through Apple Pay and Zelle trying to purchase a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace. A report went to investigators.
