New Ulm Police • A 42-year-old New Ulm man told police at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday that a 39-year-old New Ulm woman, the mother of an 11-year-old child they have in common, provided alcohol to the boy. The boy told police the woman offered him a sip of beer. The mother told police she is in a custody battle with the father, who is trying to defame her to get full custody of the child. A 34-year-old Clarkfield woman admitted throwing rocks at a man she said probably has cocaine in his possession. The suspect, a 48-year-old Madison Lake man learned the job site foreman contacted police about somebody throwing rocks at his worker, left the scene before police arrived. Officers stopped the vehicle and talked with the driver, a 36-year-old New Ulm man. Impairment clues were noticed. After failing field sobriety tests and a breath test, the man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
