Roger D. Krohn

ST. CLOUD — Roger D. Krohn, age 70, of St. Cloud, formerly of Nicollet, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel in New Ulm with Pastor Dan Witte officiating. The New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard will provide full military honors following the service. A private family burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9-11 am on Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH Chapel in New Ulm.

Roger is survived by his first wife, Kathy Eckstrand of Lafayette; son, Timothy (Shelly) Krohn of rural Winthrop; brother, Michael (Kris) Krohn of Edwards, CO; sister, Linda (Greg) Wilmes of Waseca, Sandra (Cliff) Berberich of Sleepy Eye; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo Krohn on Feb 11, 1990 and Lorraine Krohn on July 28, 2008.

Roger David Krohn was born on June 29, 1949 in Nicollet to Elmo and Lorraine (Boelter) Krohn. Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, playing games with his brothers and sisters, riding his horse Brown Sugar, and spending time with neighbors and cousins. He had fond memories of life on the farm. He also enjoyed his Chevy car and pug dog.

Roger served in the Marines. Later in life, he enjoyed dining out and going to the thrift stores. He lived in St. Cloud and had good friends through the VA.
