Robert Ernest Berg, son of Lyall and Marie (Marzinske) Berg was born Nov. 27, 1939 in Mankato, Minnesota.

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Anna Pagel at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Mankato on Aug. 15, 1965. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, 11 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Ulm, on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour before the service. The service will also be streamed through the church’s website: https://splnewulm.org/church/online/

Social distancing guidelines must be followed and all guests in attendance at the visitation and funeral will be required to wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to WELS One Africa Team, WELS Christian Aid and Relief, or WELS Synodical Schools.
