Justin Todd Howk
We are saddened to announce the passing of Justin Todd Howk of Arlington, Minnesota at just 38 years young. Justin passed away at Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC) in the morning of January 16th, 2022 with loved ones by his side.
Justin will be lovingly remembered by his family. Justin is leaving behind his fiancée, Manuela Arredondo and three wonderful children: Gavin, Xavior and Rosealynn. Justin also had five wonderful stepchildren: Miguel Montes-Howk, Elonzo Montes-Howk, Carlos Arredondo, Amora Arredondo, and Sophera Arredondo. Justin also leaves behind his parents, Robin and Joanne, along with six siblings: Cory Treml, Julie Treml, Jessica and significant other Chris (Hawkinson), Christopher and fiancé Kevin (Valuet), Brent and fiancée Khou (Lee), Amanda and husband Luke (Windschitl), along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Russel and Evelyn Howk and maternal grandparents, Roger and Nellie Petersen.
Justin was born on May 7, 1983 in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated from New Ulm Public School in 2001 where he went on to live in Duluth, Minnesota for a short while before taking residency in Arlington, Minnesota. Justin worked as a forklift operator for Michael Foods. He dedicated many long hours the last 15 years to provide for his children. He will be remembered for his dedication and sacrifices to his family!
After years of hard work, Justin purchased his first home in the spring of 2021 and was learning how to landscape; he was so excited to have a yard for his kids! When Justin wasn’t working, he enjoyed roller blading, X-box, listening to music, relaxing, and being outside with his kids and dogs. Justin was a Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Wild fan for life, he hardly missed a game. He was a fan of horror movies; however, he was also a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles which he passed on to his children. When others spoke of Justin, it is often that they would say he was a kind soul and that he wouldn’t hurt a fly. He was not a person to laugh at the expense of another. Justin had the most infectious laugh and eyes that could see through your soul. He truly had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. A piece of our hearts left with Justin when he left this earth but rest assured, we will be whole again one day.
