Gerald Hauser
Gerald Hauser, age 80, of New Ulm, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at his home in New Ulm.
A visitation will be held from 10a-12p on Monday, March 14, 2022, at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH chapel. Burial will follow at the New Ulm City Cemetery, Solider’s Rest. Gerald is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Barbara Hauser of New Ulm; sons, Duane (Sandy) Hauser of New Ulm and Robert Hauser of Little Falls; daughters, Lanette (Bill) Clark of Warrior, AL and Charlene (Bill) Bedner of Comfrey; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Delrose (Melvin) Stadick of New Ulm; brother, Kenny (Peggy) Hauser of Sleepy Eye.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Zachary; sisters, Joan and Marlene.
Gerald “Jerry” Norbert Hauser was born November 5, 1941, in Sleepy Eye to Nicholas and Rosile (Braun) Hauser. Jerry graduated high school and earned his associates degree in Automotives. He joined the Navy where he served from 1960-1963. On June 24, 1962, Jerry was united in marriage to Barbara Jensen in Mexico. This union blessed the couple with two sons and two daughters. Jerry was a mechanic for New Ulm Bus Lines and eventually became a bus driver for them. Jerry enjoyed gardening, mowing, hunting, fishing, playing sheepshead with friends, and spending time with his family. “My Grandpa was a stern man but nonetheless a GREAT one and we will miss him tremendously”.
