Shauna Dirlam, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on November 9, 2024. Shauna was born May 29, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Duane and Georgie Windahl. She grew up in Edina, MN, and graduated from Edina High School. She attended the U of MN and graduated with a degree in Social Work. On September 8, 1979, she married Ken Dirlam. They had two children, Carly and Philip. Shauna and Ken lived and raised their children in New Ulm, MN, where Shauna managed their home and dedicated herself to her family. She volunteered her time at her childrens’ school and with the Brown County Humane Society. Following Ken’s passing, Shauna moved to Plymouth, MN, where she made great friends and became a grandmother. Shauna was a kind and gentle soul who loved being a mother and grandmother, spending time at the lake up north, and being in nature. Shauna is survived by her children, Carly (Paul Morris) Dirlam, Philip (Sarah) Dirlam; Grandchildren Russell and Ada Morris, Tristan Dirlam; siblings Lynda Jodsaas and Earl (Guri Kirkeng) Windahl; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ken; parents Duane and Georgie Windahl. Memorial service will be held in 2025, details forthcoming. gearty-delmore.com
