NEW ULM–Marcella “Sally” Holm, 84, of New Ulm died Friday, December 20, 2024 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 4 p.m.Sunday and 9 – 10:30 a.m. Monday at the MInnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH Chapel in New Ulm. Sally is survived by her sons, Jerry (Julie) Holm and Craig Holm; grandchildren, Jeff (Brittany) Holm, Jacob Holm, Jeremy (Autumn) Holm, Jackson Holm and Jeannie Holm; great grandchildren, Katrina, Isabella and Noah Holm; sisters-in-law, Doris Hoffman and Mary Ellen Bridgeman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth “Jackie” Holm; brothers, Edwin (Ivona) Windschitl, Lenus (Eunice) Windschitl; sisters, Irene (Orval) Sprenger, Della (Jay) Schueneman, Elaine (Larry) Haala and Mickey Fischer; brothers-in-law, Richard (Dorothy) Holm, Patrick Hoffman and Robert Bridgeman; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen (Donald) Rueckert.

Marcella Frieda Windschitl was born January 24, 1940 in Mulligan Township, Brown County to Edmund and Martha (Schroepfer) Windschitl; She was united in marriage to Kenneth Holm on January 23, 1960 at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Comfrey and together they raised two sons. Sally was employed at Union Hospital as a nurse’s aide, worked at various restaurants cooking and Oak Hills Living Center as a cook and a greeter at Walmart. She was a homemaker as well and helped her husband on the farm. Sally enjoyed gardening, Sigel Baseball; watching her pheasants and cats and going on her section drives.
