Sylvia Marie Huelskamp was born November 7, 1928 to Ben and Marie (Brey) Huelskamp in New Ulm. She attended grade school in St. George and worked at the Dakota Hotel. On September 6, 1947, Sylvia was united in marriage to Harold Reinhart, Sr. in St. George. Their union was blessed with six children, whom Sylvia dedicated her life to raising. In addition to being a mother, Sylvia took over the farm when Harold Sr. died in 1966. After the kids had grown up, Sylvia moved to Lafayette and began working at the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home and the Lafayette Charter School. Sylvia continued working at the Charter School until she was 90 years old. Outside of working, Sylvia enjoyed decorating her yard, spending time outside, cleaning, and spending time with her family. Many special memories were made helping her children move and playing Saint Nic by delivering goodie bags for over 60 years. Sylvia’s 96 years of memories will continue to live on in all who knew her. Blessed be her memory.
