NEW ULM–Cheryl Reinhart, age 70, of New Ulm passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Father Tanner Thooft will celebrate the Mass. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – South Chapel in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at the South Chapel in New Ulm. Cheryl is survived by her sons, Jeff Kiecker (Ebony Cotton) and Nick Reinhart (formerly Scott Kiecker); sisters, Kay Schumacher, Janice (Gene) Yonkovich, Bonnie Bode, Karen “Mitzi” Warning; brother, Peter (Linda) Reinhart; and dogs, Rusty and Precious.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mabel (Kuester) Reinhart; boyfriend of 35 years, Lawrence Hornig; brother-in-law, Glenn A. Bode; former brother-in-law, Gene Schumacher; her beloved dogs; and extended family and friends

Cherly Ann Reinhart was born March 9, 1954 to Walter and Mabel (Kuester) Reinhart in New Ulm. She graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1972. After graduation, she began a 27-year career at 3M, then began working at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Outside of work, Cheryl enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku, scrapbooking, working in her yard, spending time with her boys, and playing with her pets. Cheryl’s Catholic faith was central to her life, rarely missing Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and spending countless hours furthering her faith watching Mass on TV. Cheryl will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
