Faye Marie Steffen was born September 5, 1945, to Henry and Florence (Kropp) Steffen and was raised in Morton, Minnesota. Faye was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Morton, and was a 1963 graduate from Morton High School. She furthered her education at the Beauty College in Mankato where early in her life she put her skills to work at the Orchid Beauty Shop in New Ulm. Faye later worked for 3M in New Ulm before she began her 20-year career with Kraft Foods which spanned from 1991 until her retirement in 2011. Besides her work, there were a variety of hobbies Faye enjoyed in life. To socialize, Faye enjoyed the many years she spent bowling with friends, family, and neighbors. She also loved trying her luck at the casino where she especially enjoyed playing bingo and keno. Early in life, she expressed her artistic side painting ceramics. To take in nature, Faye enjoyed a relaxing day on the lake fishing, or going for a motorcycle ride. She was a devout member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. What brought Faye the most joy in life was always her family. She enjoyed every moment she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved getting to see them grow. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but countless memories will forever stay in their hearts and minds. Blessed be those memories.
