NICOLLET–Thomas “Tom” Schroeder, age 70, of Nicollet passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at his home in Nicollet.
Memorial service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Micah Plocher officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Nicollet. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20th, 2025 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet. He is survived by his wife Lois; son, Matthew (Elizabeth) Schroeder; grandchildren, William, Anthony, Ryleigh and Zackary; his sister, Linette (Marv) Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Schroeder; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Marilynn Schmit.
Thomas Lee Schroeder was born February 9, 1954 to Willy and Rosa (Hermel) Schroeder in Mankato. He graduated from Nicollet High School in 1972. Tom was united in marriage to Lois Schmit on February 19, 1982 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Peter. Tom started out building pole barns in Nicollet and then went to Chamberlain siding and windows and eventually Wilking siding and windows. Tom enjoyed woodworking and gardening but his greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
