NEW ULM–George E. Schimmele, 77 of New Ulm died on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm.  Pastor Timothy Anderson will officiate, and burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church prior to the service. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of New Ulm are assisting the family with arrangements at this time. The service will be live-streamed through the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home’s Facebook page. George is survived by his wife, Margaret Schimmele of New Ulm; daughter, Rochelle Fischer; son, Martin Schimmele; and 4 grandchildren.
