NEW ULM–Kenneth A. Richter, age 82, of New Ulm passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at his home in New Ulm.Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March, 3rd, 2025 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Mark Steffl celebrating the mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Kenneth is survived by his brother, Lynn (Mary) Richter; sister-in-law, Linda Richter; nieces, Lisa (John) Langley, Angie Richter, Jennie (Brian) Lundgren, Samantha (Jim) Bigler; nephew, Scott Richter and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alan Richter; and nephew, Nathan Richter.
Kenneth Arthur Richter was born July 9, 1942 to William and Florinda (Fortwengler) Richter. Ken graduated from New Ulm Cathedral High School in 1960. He worked for Puhlmann Lumber, Schell’s Brewery and Kraft Foods until his retirement in 1998. Ken was an avid sportsman; he loved his hunting dogs and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and nephews. Ken started New Ulm Trap Shooting. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and woodworking. Ken was a member of Catholic United, Catholic Order of Foresters and Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
