Vic was born on May 8th, 1971 to Eric and Carol Wilcox in Deckerville, Michigan. At age 5, his family moved to Minnesota, and he graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1990. He was a member of the Plumbers Local 34 Union, and was a Journeyman Plumber and Pipefitter for over 26 years, most recently working as a foreman for Peterson Sheet Metal.

Vic was a dedicated partner, father, and friend to many. Vic met the love of his life Brenda 25 years ago and together they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this year. He was a loving and supportive father to their 4 children, and wonderful grandfather to their 3 grandchildren. Vic’s animals loved and adored him. He could often be seen trailed by his dog Allie or with his cat AJ purring on his chest as he napped. He was a lifelong learner with extensive mechanical and construction knowledge, while recently exploring gardening. Vic worked as a cook in his young adult years and continued to share his love for cooking at many gatherings. Vic was an avid fisherman and hunter, feeling most at peace on the water or in a deer stand. He was a proud member of the Minnesota Deer Hunter’s Association and a passionate advocate for the protection of wildlife and nature. Vic was a fierce friend, always willing to lend an ear or helping hand. He will be sorely missed, but his impact and spirit will live on in all the lives he touched with his laughter and kindness.

Vic is survived by his wife Brenda, mother Carol Abbas, father Eric Wilcox, step-children Brittany Gruber (Damian), Stephan Johnson, and Corey Johnson (Catherine Devetter). Grandchildren Callan, Milo, and Millie. Brother Mark Wilcox (Wendy Thedens). Aunts and Uncles George and Gail Innis, Lee and Jean Brown and many cousins.
