LONDONDERRY, NH–Kenneth Francis Duchene, 86, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, surrounded by the loving embrace of his wife, Suzie.
Born on April 11, 1938, in Faribault, MN, Ken was the son of Raymond and Isabelle (Carpenter) Duchene Newcombe. He was predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Hobin, and his second wife, Delores Boyer.
Ken graduated from Faribault High School in 1956, where he was a proud member of the Faribault Falcon Wrestling Team. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army. Ken later lived in New Ulm, MN before relocating to Cedar Lake, where he cherished countless hours of fishing and hunting with family and friends. Throughout his life, Ken embraced adventure, traveling to places like Mexico, Germany, and Ireland. Known for his patience and kind spirit, Ken left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was also an active member of the American Legion and Moose Clubs.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Suzie (Hanko) Duchene; his daughters, Rebecca Arndt and Jennifer Haymaker (husband, Thomas); his son, Rollie Duchene (and his wife Beth (deceased); three stepchildren: Bryce Boyer (and his wife, Paula), Brenda Elthon (deceased) and (her husband, Dwight), and Curtis Cabaniss (and his wife, Michelle-Lee); as well as his grandchildren: Kaitlin (Duchene) Carlson, Aaron Duchene, Tony Arndt, Tim Arndt, and Eric Tauer.
Ken’s beloved siblings: Robert (deceased) and sister-in-law Gerry Duchene, Gerald (deceased) Duchene, Don and sister-in-law Ceil Duchene of Faribault, MN. Walter (deceased) and sister-in-law Nori Duchene of Yankton, MN, Sharon and brother-in-law Gerry Mangold of Faribault, MN and Shirley (deceased) Amundson.
Additionally, Ken leaves behind the Naughton, Caron, and Hobin families, along with many cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
A life celebration will be held later in New Ulm, Minnesota, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory.
