WINTHROP–Mildred S. Ross, age 105, of Winthrop passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, while in hospice care at Bayside Manor in Gaylord. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 31, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, MN, with Pastor Bruce Bringle officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., ALL at the church.

Mildred Selma Wischstadt was born on July 11, 1919, to Otto and Selma (Bode) Wischstadt in Nicollet County, MN. She graduated from Nicollet High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to Garfield Ross on January 26, 1957. They lived on the family farm until they moved to Winthrop in 1992.

She is survived by a son, Dwayne (Judy) Ross and a daughter, Leah (Michael) Holmes, four grandchildren, Jason Ross, Mia Ross, Ann Holmes (Jamison Schuh), Sara Holmes, and sister, Helen Wischstadt; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garfield Ross; sisters and brothers-in-law, Harriet and Martin Fluegge, Norma and Bernhardt Ulrich; brother and sister-in-law, Lorenz and Arlene Wischstadt.
