What NPR said, again
To the editor:
I am writing in response to R.E. Wehrwein’s latest letter to the editor re: National Public Radio in which he maintained the accuracy of one of his quotes from a previous letter. The quote in question was about a headline after President Biden’s inauguration regarding the Coronavirus I rechecked the primary source, the NPR website. Both Mr. Wehrwein and I were inaccurate. Mr. Wehrwein stated it as “Deadly U.S. Coronavirus Surge Has Peaked.” The quote is “Current Deadly U.S. Coronavirus Surge Has Peaked, Researchers Say.” I left out “deadly.” Accuracy is important and I apologize for my error.
The point of my original letter remains unchanged. The articles in question related to health, not politics.
