Make border crossers collect their garbage
To the editor:
All the photos of people illegally coming across the Rio Grande River and getting in lines to pass into the USA show filthy streams of discarded garbage along their pathway. There are very few places here in the USA where you see that filth, except in the tent encampments.
Before the border crossers are checked through the gates they should all be given a sack to collect the garbage and not be allowed to enter without throwing a full bag of garbage into a depository at the gate. But without including another person hiding in the bag.
