The political blame game

To the editor:

Had the current administration done a simple Google search, it would have revealed the truth about the job of air traffic controllers. There is a shortage. So, no, there are not displaced air traffic controllers in the unemployment lines as a result of DEI policies. Yet our knee-jerk administration is more than happy to roll out its boogey man of the moment to advance its political agenda.

Does this sound familiar? Let us not forget how the then President-elect was quick to blame the New Orleans terrorist attack on an illegal immigrant. It neatly served his campaign against illegal immigrants in the aftermath of his election win, which is now considered a “duly elected” Presidency…because…well, you-know-who won. (Come on. Say it. Joe Biden was the duly elected President in 2020.)

When the truth came out about Shamsud-Din-Jabbar being an army veteran from Texas, the then president-elect did not come out and correct his misinformation (self-serving, knee-jerk lie), nor was that fact likely to have been as prominently broadcast on Fox News as it probably was with his initial accusation.
