To the editor:

Last year during his successful presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised that he would end the war in Ukraine on Day One of his presidency. We are now into month two. Yet the war rages on.

Tuesday I woke up to headlines that said the United States sided with Russia in a United Nations vote on Ukraine. This vote identified Russia as the cause of the war. Only Russia and the United States disagreed. According to Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, Ukraine started the war.

Putin is the most dangerous person on earth. The U.S. should not snuggle up to him.

If Trump’s plan to end the war is to allow Russia to gobble up Ukraine, we have the wrong guy in the White House.
