MADELIA — The Nicollet Raiders downed the Madelia Blackhawks 66-44 on Monday night in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Valley Division girls basketball game.
Savannah Klockziem and Leah Bode led the Raiders in victory with 18 points apiece, while Zoie Rengstorf added 13 points.
Madelia was led by Alicia Lugo’s 8 points, while Ashlynn Sweet added 7 points.
Nicollet (2-0, 2-0) hosts Cedar Mountain at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover game.
BOYS BASKETBALL
BOLD 68, Cathedral 59
BIRD ISLAND — BOLD held off New Ulm Cathedral 68-59 on Monday night in a nonconference boys basketball game.
Jake Finstad led the Greyhounds in the loss with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Jack Edwards added 15 points and four rebounds. Colin Anderson also had 10 points for the Greyhounds.
BOLD was led by Jack Gross, who had 21 points, while Will Penkert had 19 points.
Cathedral (0-1) hosts Sleepy Eye on Thursday night in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Tomahawk Division game.
