Emma Hauger led Springfield with 28 points and eight steals, while Olivia Milbrath had 9 points and four rebounds. Kendall Krueger added 8 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks for the Tigers, while Jada Reese had 8 points, six rebounds, six steals and five assists.

The Tigers (1-0) are at New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday for their first Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Tomahawk Division game.

TMB 77, St. Mary’s 76 (OT)

SLEEPY EYE — Tracy-Milroy-Balaton defeated Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 77-76 in overtime in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday at Sleepy Eye High School on the second day of the Sleepy Eye Tip-Off Invitational.

Adam Steffensmeier led the Knights with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Kessler Severson had 20 points and nine rebounds. George Schwint added 13 points and four rebounds.

St. Mary’s (0-2) travels to play Red Rock Central on Saturday.
