ST. PAUL — Martin Luther College’s Mya Morris was voted the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week (December 9 – December 15) and is the first Knights’ player to be given that honor this season.

Morris played well this past week as she led the Knights to two victories over Luther College 62-47 on Tuesday and a 63-57 win against Carleton on Friday. In those games, the transfer guard averaged 17.5 ppg and hit eight 3-pointers. Morris scored 21 points, grabbed five boards in the Knights’ impressive defensive performance against Luther, and followed that effort up with 14 points and six assists over Carleton.
