NUA takes second at HighWater invite
LAMBERTON — New Ulm Area placed second out of 16 teams at the HighWater Ethanol prep wrestling invitational on Friday, with a final score of 159.
Staples-Motley took first in the tourney with a score of 227.
Wyatt Pollard led the Eagles with a second-place finish at 172, while Alex Portner (121), Tegan Kral (133) and Jamisen Frederickson (215) all placed third. Kane Johnson (127) and Braxton Kiecker (145) both places fourth, while Regan Johnson (107), Elijah Rieser (139), Candon Briggs (152) and Dirk Haynes (160) all placed fifth.

MORGAN — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart defeated Cedar Mountain 60-51 in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference, Tomahawk Division girls basketball game.
Lily Hubin led the Mustangs with 29 points, six rebounds and five steals, while Chloe Schultz had 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Jamie Novotny added 9 points, 14 rebounds and three assists, while Elizabeth Ovitt had 9 points, six rebounds and four assists.

ARLINGTON — Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial defeated Sibley East 53-49 in a South Central Conference boys basketball game on Monday.
Quintin DeVlaeminc led Sibley East with 19 points and three steals, while Ezra Weber had 8 points and seven rebounds. Evan Pautsch added 8 points, five steals and three rebounds.
