MOUNTAIN LAKE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s rolled by Mountain Lake Area 81-61 in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday.

Kessler Severson led the Knights with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Adam Steffensmeier had 15 points, four assists and three steals. Tyler Mathiowetz had 14 points and three steals, while Noah Christensen had 9 points.

St. Mary’s (8-11) travels to Cedar Mountain on Tuesday.

Wabasso 97, YME 52

GRANITE FALLS — Wabasso topped Yellow Medicine East 97-52 in a nonconference boys basketball game on Monday.

Drew Kemp led the Rabbits with 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals, while Joe Rohlik had 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Tavyn Larson had 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Brayden Guetter had 13 points, three rebounds and three steals. Jayden Remiger added 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Mitchell Hopp led the Eagles with 21 points, while Levi Hopp had 13 points. Joey Wise added 11 points.

New Ulm (5-12) hosts Worthington on Friday.

OLIVIA — BOLD defeated Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop 75-59 in a nonconference boys basketball game on Monday.

Cole Jacobson led the Thunderbirds with 24 points, while Easton Taylor had 18 points. Carter Klages added 8 points.

MORGAN — St. James Area defeated Cedar Mountain 67-63 in a nonconference boys basketball game on Monday.

HECTOR — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart downed Nicollet 69-60 in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover girls basketball game Monday.

Lily Hubin led the Mustangs with 22 points, while Jamie Novotny had 19 points. Elizabeth Ovitt added 16 points for BLHS.

Leah Bode led the Raiders with 29 points, while Jazmyn Goettlicher had 9 points. Zoie Rengstorf and Cheyenne Klockziem each had 8 points.

BLHS (9-8) travels to New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday, while Nicollet (10-9) travels to Mankato Loyola on Thursday.
