NUBBA youth tournament has strong turnout

NEW ULM — The New Ulm Basketball Association’s Youth Tournament took place between two weekends, featuring nearly 100 total teams from around Central and Southern Minnesota.
The above photos were taken as part of three days of tournaments put on by the NUBBA. On Feb. 8-9, the boys tournament attracted 72 teams while this past Saturday the girls had 38 teams compete.
NUBBA serves kids, K-eighth grade in the ISD 88 district. This year, they had 216 sign up for basketball, which was one of the highest number they have ever had.
The tournaments help support NUBBA and its mission which is: The New Ulm Basketball Association (NUBBA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit community organization dedicated to fostering basketball skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork among boys and girls from kindergarten through 8th grade in the ISD 88 School District. The coaches, assistants and board members donate their time to provide opportunities for youth to learn and develop essential skills on and off the court, ensuring they represent their community with pride.
