ARLINGTON — Sibley East ended Nicollet’s seven-game win streak with a 64-58 win in a nonconference boys basketball game.
The Wolverines started the game down 15-2 and trailed 35-28 at halftime before coming back to earn the win. Evan Pautsch led the Wolverines with 16 points, eight assists, six rebounds and five steals, while Quintin DeVlaeminck had 12 points and five rebounds and Ezra Weber had 11 points. Will Feterl and Riley Bussler each had 8 points.
Carson Kettner led Nicollet with 20 points, while Henry Kennedy had 16 points and Henry Oscarson had 11 points.
Nicollet (13-3) is the No. 13 seed in this year’s Section 2A tournament and will host No. 20 Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart on Friday. Sibley East (8-17) awaits playoff seedings for this year’s Section 2AA tournament, which begin Tuesday.

Cleveland 58
SLEEPY EYE — Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s ended the regular season wth a 72-58 win over Cleveland on Tuesday night.
Kessler Severson led the Knights with 26 points and 10 rebounds in the win, while Adam Steffensmeier had 15 points and five assists and George Schwint had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Cleveland was led by Blake Lyons’ 18 points, while Bode Bartell added 14.
The Knights (11-15) are the No. 12 seed in this year’s Section 2A playoffs and travel to take on No. 5 Mayer Lutheran on Tuesday.
Cedar Mountain 82, GHEC/T/ML 36
TRUMAN — Cedar Mountain ran past Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther 82-36 on Tuesday in a Tomahawk-Valley Conference crossover boys basketball game.
The Cougars were led in victory by Blake Schueller’s 22 points, 12 rebounds and three steals, while Blake Steffl had 20 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Carson Schiller added 17 points and five rebounds for the Cougars, while Thomas Dahmes had 9 points and Zach Sandgren had 8 points.
Cedar Mountain (22-3) is the No. 3 seed in the Section 2A tourney this year and will host the winner of this Friday’s Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey vs. GHEC/T/ML game on Tuesday.
