Tomahawk Divison releases All-Conference team
The Tomahawk Division released its Girls Basketball All-Conference team this weekend, with Sleepy Eye St. Marys’ Morgan Mathiowetz being named the conference’s Player of the Year.
Mathiowetz was one of four Knights named, joined by Olivia Schieffert on the team as a unanimous selection and Brynne Ibberson and Natalie Fischer as Honorable Mentions for the Section 2A champs.
For Sleepy Eye, Paige Haala was a unanimous selection for the team, while Cadence Okerman was also on the team and Taylor Berkner was an Honorable Mention. Springfield had two selections in Emma Hauger and Jada Reese, while Cedar Mountain had Aubrey Steffl make the team unanimously and Kendra Erickson as an honorable mention. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart’s Lily Hubin was a unanimous selection, joined by Jamie Novotny as an Honorable Mention, while New Ulm Cathedral had Shay Wilfahrt make the team. Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop’s Kinley Bruns was an Honorable Mention.
