New Ulm 4th-grade boys take 4th at Pacesetter MN state tourney

The New Ulm fourth-grade boys basketball team participated in the Pacesetter MN State Championship on March 29 in St. Cloud. In a hard-fought Game 1, they erased a 10 point deficit in the second half to send the game into overtime. Red Lake ended up with the win in OT 21-20. New Ulm bounced back in Game 2, defeating Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (KMS) 34-28 by playing great team basketball. In the consolation championship against Mahnomen-Waubun, it was a back-and-forth battle, with New Ulm pulling away with the win 16-14.
