The 2025 KC State Free Throw Championship was held on March 29 at Osseo High School. Contestants from throughout the state who had previously won their council, district and regional events competed against up to 11 other regional champions for the state title. Each attempted 25 free throws. New Ulm had two representatives in the event: 12-year-old boy Layton Collins and 13-year-old girl Violet Hammer. Collins won his event, while Hammer finished second in hers.
